Como uno de los materiales plásticos generales, el PP tiene excelentes propiedades integrales, buena estabilidad química, mejor rendimiento de moldeo y precio relativamente bajo. Pero el PP tiene las desventajas de baja resistencia, módulo, dureza, resistencia al impacto a baja temperatura, contracción de formación, fácil envejecimiento, etc.
En términos generales, la resistencia a la tracción del material PP está entre 20M y 30MPa, la resistencia a la flexión está entre 25M y 50MPa, y el módulo de flexión está entre 800M y 1500MPa. Por ello, se modifica para que se adapte a la demanda del producto. Hoy en día, cada tipo de PP modificado tiene un gran número de aplicaciones en el campo de los electrodomésticos y vehículos.

PP-LGF
Long Glass Fiber reinforced PP plastic refers to the modified PP composite material which contains the glass fiber length between 10 and 25mm. After injection molding and other processes, the three-dimensional structure of the glass fiber length is larger than 3.1mm. It is also called Long Glass Fiber polypropylene, or LGFPP.
The material can not only effectively improve the rigidity, impact strength, creep resistance and dimensional stability of the product, but also can make complex products.
Why use LGF instead of SGF
Compared with short fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites, LFT has the following advantages:
• Long fiber length, significantly improve the mechanical properties of products.
• High specific stiffness and strength, good impact resistance, especially suitable for automotive applications.
• Improved creep resistance, good dimensional stability, high component forming accuracy.
• Excellent fatigue resistance.
• Better stability in hot and humid environments.
• The fiber can be relatively moved in the molding mold during the molding process, and the fiber damage is small
Product application
Automotive filed
Front end module, door module, shift mechanism, electronic accelerator pedal, dashboard skeleton, cooling fan and frame, battery carrier, bumper bracket, underbody protection plate, sunroof frame, etc., are used to replace reinforced PA or metal materials. The application of the material in these fields has been widely promoted in Europe, where the current consumption is 20,000 T/Y.
